- Micro-payments only make up 2 to 3% of service sales online in the US, according to a study led by the online publisher Association, American Internet users are spent $2 billion in 2005 on premium content in the an annual growth of 15% and 200% compared to 2001. Average spend for online content in 2005 was above $100. Entertainment products were topping the list (and mostly online music files) with a revenue of $573.8 million i.e. 38.8% growth.
